Northern Colorado The Northern Colorado region is fast becoming an internationally recognized high performance innovation zone. Colorado State University is a world-class research university and a leader in infectious diseases, cancer, natural resources, veterinary medicine and clean energy research. The region is also home to cutting edge R&D operations of leading technology corporations such as Hewlett Packard, Intel, Woodward Governor, Advanced Micro Devices, LSI Logic, Agilent, and Avago Technologies.
This high concentration of innovation coupled with a highly educated workforce has given rise to a flourishing entrepreneurial culture and a number of exciting new startup companies in the region. Many are part of the emerging industry clusters in clean energy, bioscience and geotechnology.
The Need Many startup companies with great promise don't need more than $1 million to get started, but few VCs today consider financings of less than $3 - 5 million. NoCo Angels fills this gap for companies by making investments in the range of $250,000 - $1,000,000. Our funding and assistance allow a startup to launch its business and accomplish critical milestones that will make it attractive for a larger venture capital financing.
NoCo Angels NoCo Angels is managed by steering committee of local investors and sponsors. Administrative support is provided by the Rocky Mountain Innovation Initiative (RMI2) and other sponsors/partners include the Larimer Bioscience Cluster, Northern Colorado Clean Energy Cluster and CSU Ventures. The group is a member of the Angelsoft network, comprised of over 375 angel groups on six continents. Members are all accredited investors as defined by the SEC and share common investments goals.
