Membership in NoCo Angels is open to individuals who share our vision and will actively contribute to our process. We seek as fellow members people who have similar investment goals, activity levels and risk tolerances.
Individual members must be accredited investors. Interested investors are screened by our Membership Committee. Members make their own investment decisions (we are not a fund) but they are expected to make a total investment of $25k per year averaged over two years. Members are encouraged to participate by attending meetings, serving on committees, and/or referring deals to the group.
The federal securities laws define the term “accredited investor” in Rule 501 of Regulation D as a person who has individual net worth, or joint net worth with the person’s spouse exceeds $1 million at the time of the investment or has income exceeding $200,000 in each of the two most recent years or joint income with a spouse exceeding $300,000 for those years and a reasonable expectation of the same income level in the current year.
